Stages of The Sims! - incomplete

For class we are doing a activity to show the evolution/development of our favourite games. I chose The sims, and am going to show some screen shots of all the different types of sims that have been produced, and how they have gotten better.

The first Sims I remember playing is Sim city, and Sim safari. They were both "Simulation" games in which you played the position of 'god'. You create, manage and help the worlds you create to sustain life, and yoru ultimate goal is to make sure the worlds you create do not collapse. The first picture is of Simcity, where you create a city and try protect it from the elements, such as tornadoes and even alien attacks. The second picture is of Sim Safari - My favourite one! In this game you had to Create a safari park and maintain all the animal species and make sure they don't become extinct, while protecting the villages of people from attacks by elephants and etc.

After the more oldschool Sims lost their novelty, the new sims was brought out. It was more created to simulate real life situations. The game has three main ares; relationships, career and housing. Your aim is to climb the ranks of your career, and your ultimate goal is to reach the position of 'top notch', in the wealth side of things. Creating a family, meeting your love, and getting rich is your main aim.

The Sims 2 is the next upgrade from the Sims. The graphics were improved, the gameplay became more exciting; they introduced wishes and a mood bar, so that you had more of a challenge ahead of you then just getting rich. When you have kids, your children go through stages of life, they grow from a baby, to a toddler, to a teenager, to an adult, then they go into old age and have a limited amount of time til they pass. The game has a feature called rewards, where when you make a siim happy or complete one of their wishes, they get reward points and they can then buy objects like a money tree, and the elixir of life; which prolongs a sims life expectancy. Overall the Sims 2 was a massive upgrade from the original sims simulation game, but it still has left a lot of room to improve.
